LOS ANGELES - A man drove himself to a police station early Monday after someone in a passing car shot him in the head, police said. The 19- to 20-year-old was near 120th and San Pedro streets about 1:20 a.m. when shots from a semiautomatic handgun were fired from a red car. One bullet became lodged between his skin and skull but did not penetrate bone, police said. He calmly drove himself to the police station for help.

Nah. Probably a piece-of-trash 25-caliber semiauto. Maybe a 32, but probably not.
The standard recommendation, if you're going to carry a 25-caliber auto, is to leave it unloaded--because if you load it, there's always the danger that you'll shoot somebody with it, whereupon he's liable to become angry with you.
Alternatively, if you must carry it loaded, be sure to grind off the front sight and file it down very smooth. That way, when you shoot someone with it, and he becomes angry with you and shoves the gun up your posterior, it won't hurt so much.
Better yet, carry a small 9x19mm like the ones made by Kahr Arms, or at least a 380 (like James Bond does). Stay away from 25 and 32.
