BANGKOK (Reuters) -
Transvestite Thai kick boxer Parinya Kiatbusaba has agreed to show his art on Argentine television and will use the appearance fee to help pay for a sex-change operation, he said on.
"It will be my pleasure to go on air in Latin America where I will take the opportunity to promote the Thai art of fighting," he said.
Parinya, 20, said he had accepted an invitation to appear next month on the popular Sunana Gimenez variety show.
"I will go and fight anywhere to pocket enough money for my sex change operation," he said, adding his boxing performance had been patchy lately because he is preoccupied with his sex change.
Last month, Parinya who wears make-up and has flowing hair, donned a bra to protect his growing breasts when he fought Japanese champion Hiroyuki Doi in Tokyo.
Parinya lost the fight on points but gave his opponent a kiss on the lips in congratulation.
Despite the gentle touch, opponents should not be fooled. In 60 fights so far, he has won 52 and 42 of them by knockout.
Parinya, who says his real fear is being hit in the breasts by his opponents, is very keen on getting his sex change operation done as soon as possible.
But his doctors have told him to wait until his body fully matures with hormone treatments.
